Time in Tennessee has already been hilarious. I’ve been in a two-week whirlwind, hitting as many “Tennessee” images and events as I can, from my past and future, including several gigantic parties on farms in the woods, a lot of AM radio country, and a marvelous night at the Americana Music Association awards, courtesy of the fine girls of Uncle Earl, up for “Emerging Artist of the Year”.

Brass tacks is that, in between all of this and outlining, I’m learning the banjo. Last night I learned, as my first tunes (in this order):

1.) The opening riff from “Dueling Banjos”.
2.) “Here I Go Again” by White Snake.

I think I’m on the right track.
