Day one of this year’s ukulele christmas album is down, at Lee Noble’s Radex Studios. We’re about to jump into day two and I feel very good about it. Hopefully we can wrap up most of the album today, with the possible exception of a slightly complicated secret “collaboration” that might be on hold until we can get some pieces next week. But we’ll see. “Don’t Know Much ‘Bout Hanukkah” is finished now, and needs to be put in the can, as long as I can figure out if “sufganiyot” actually rhymes with “Shabbat”. I’ll be calling some Jewish bakeries for pronunciation this morning to be sure.
Only have one more song’s lyrics to write, but we’ve got three more ready to go today and three in the can already. Hooray. There’s no specific timetables here, except for my personal desire to get this thing out by sundown on the 4th. If possible - a Hanukkah release would be cute. Because what says Happy Hanukkah more than the release of a Christmas album, eh?
I guess just about anything.
