I’ve been up all morning writing a song about Hanukkah for this year’s ukulele Christmas album. Sure, Hanukkah is not Christmas, but it doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate the “holidays”. And anyone who gets all pissy about people saying “Happy Holidays” instead of “Merry Christmas”, obviously has no jewish friends. So in the spirit of inter-faith dialogue (and most of my Jewish friends giving me shit for not writing a Hanukkah song earlier), I’m writing a song about what I know about Hanukkah…which is very little. The song title: “Don’t Know Much ‘Bout Hanukkah.” Destined to be a classic, folks. You’re welcome.
