Strength For Life: Day 92: COMPLETED

Hit it. All twelve weeks of the Strength For Life challenge are complete. And I feel fantastic. I learned a lot about how specific parts of my body work (like how my left foot lands to the outside, my left shoulder leans back farther than my right, and I don’t have as much strength and control in the last two fingers on my left hand – Pretty much everything is weird on the left side of my body), I pushed myself super-goddamn hard in the last week and am PROUD of it. And I’m proud that I did the whole goddamn thing. 12 weeks is a lot of time, and it isn’t. It’s only three months, it’s a season. But I didn’t drop out anywhere in there. If anything, I tried moving harder in the last few weeks, even adding on a week to make a full twelve when I got sick in there.

OK, so I still need to report in with official stats and a “after” picture. I will be doing that at the end of this week. So here’s a picture (reposted from last week, but I’m proud), and rundown on goals. Check it.

Physical Goals:

#1.) Gain 10 lbs. of muscle. (Check)
#2.) Run 1 mile without stopping, in eight minutes. (Not a check, but only because my calves are out of whack. Otherwise I’m running your face off).
and
#3.) Get six pack abs. (Half-check. Long-term goal. We’re on our way.)

Inner Strength Goal:
#1.) Actively learn to let go. (Double-check, bitches.)

My first weigh-in on June 30th was 160 lbs. even. My final weigh-out on September 29th was 168.6 lbs. That’s a big ol’ net gain of almost 9 lbs. of muscle, and I’ll write more coming up explaining how that totals out to 10 lbs on my scale, but if you wanna get into a debate with me, please note that you’ll have to fight my giant python-sized arms. They know some wicked cool moves. Later, crocodiles.
