2009’s been a great year and a lot has happened, so here’s a quick look back at what has happened in the past twelve months, before we jump into 2010. I felt like I “leveled up” as a director this year on a lot of projects, while shooting Kristin Andreassen’s “Crayola” video in May, but it seemed to carry over thru the rest of year.
I’m very grateful for all of the opportunities I’ve had, people I’ve worked with, and the chances they’ve taken with me. And I’m pretty damn excited for some of the projects I’m working on in 2010. But first, here’s a quick look back:
– “Ode To Kulele” debuted on MTV’s “Logo” channel in April.
– “Date An Asian” featured on Buzzfeed.com (et al.) and gets 150,000 hits in first week!
– TWO videos are “Top Featured” on youtube.com/comedy in ONE MONTH.
– “Ode To Kulele” picked as Top 10 Videos of 2009 on “The Click List” (rank: #10)
And in addition, I directed:
– 3 Music Videos.
– 18 Sketches with Better Than The Machine.
– an 11 episode short series, plus 1 half-hour short thru 826NYC.
– 3 Webseries Pilots.
– 8 Music Promos & Live Performances.
– 7 Web Commericals, including 4 spec for “Jim Beam”.
– 4 Miscellaneous Short Films.
– and 7 Original Scenes-from-scratch for actor clients in the first three months.
It’s been a great year. Let’s get rocking, 2010. You and me have a lot to get busy on. Grab your boots.
